If you ever fail, you either feel like you were undergeared (more grinding required) or you didn't micromanage enough. I had the same problem with Into the Breech (which also was a great execution, I just checked out after a while). When the game gives you a powerful tool like a time machine, it effectively turns the game from an action game to a puzzle game, which seems like wasted potential. After around 5 hours, you'll have unlocked different types of equipment, and settled on a general micromanagement formula for isolating and disassembling enemies, and you'll feel like you've solved the game. ![]() But in execution, it quickly becomes the same sort of tedium of actually editing a video - it feels like work. Customizable mechs and salvaging parts mixed with amazing cinematic, dramatic shots and flairs. ![]() The game plays out like if Front Mission was a real time strategy, but you can only see 5 seconds into the future, so you play the game as if you were scrubbing the timeline of a digital video, dialing back and forth to get the best micromanagement results.
